Dental Bonding
An alternative to porcelain veneers and teeth whitening is the dental bonding treatment, an effective, quick procedure ideal for remedying teeth that are decaying, stained, gapped, or cracked. During the dental bonding treatment, Dr. Susan Bernstein uses a putty-like substance known as composite resin to repair and enhance the appearance of the teeth.
The composite resin used for dental bonding is matched as closely as possible to the natural color of your teeth. After the resin is applied to the appropriate tooth or teeth, Dr. Bernstein will proceed to sculpt and polish the resin to match the surrounding teeth. Then, she will expose the bonded teeth to an intense ultraviolet light that hardens the resin into a sturdy material.
Though the dental bonding procedure is normally done in one office visit, Dr. Bernstein may find a need to continue polishing and further shaping the resin over the course of a few more visits. One-Appointment Crowns
A dental crown is essentially a cap that is placed over a tooth, covering the entirety of the tooth's surface.
